Bringing a new brand identity to life through custom products and patient care innovations.

[ ABOUT ]

Intermountain Health, a leader in healthcare services across the Mountain West, recently embarked on a major rebranding in 2023. With facilities across seven states, they sought to fully integrate their refreshed brand identity through custom-designed products that would resonate with both the public and their internal caregivers.

[ PROJECT OVERVIEW ]

Challenge
The rebranding introduced a new visual identity and core values for Intermountain Health. The challenge was to translate this transformation into a diverse range of custom merchandise, including apparel, lifestyle items, and office goods, without compromising quality, while effectively communicating these changes. Additionally, it was crucial to adapt manufacturing techniques to accommodate the new full-color gradient logo without sacrificing quality. The products needed to appeal to a broad audience while maintaining brand integrity across all items.

Solution
Using our Experiential Product Design (XPD™) approach, Namebrand combined its extensive supply chain capabilities with innovative creative services to deliver a diverse range of products that embodied the new Intermountain Health brand. Our direct relationships with manufacturers ensured high-quality production while adapting to the specific needs of the full-color gradient logo.

Product Impact
In addition to branded merchandise, we partnered with Intermountain Health to bring a unique and impactful project to life. We collaborated on creating a series of characters that Intermountain Health created to help non-verbal or shy pediatric patients express their feelings. Extensive research identified eight primary emotions—surprise, anger, happiness, sadness, fear, disgust, love, and hope—which we transformed into tangible products that resonate deeply with young patients.
